WONCA Featured Doctor: Dr Zakiur Rahman
One of this month’s Featured Doctors is Zakiur Rahman from Bangladesh.  Zakiur is Secretary of the Spice Route, our young doctor organization in the South Asia Region.  He is a family doctor who focuses on the primary health care of rural populations, through his work both in a tertiary teaching hospital as well as at various locations throughout rural Bangladesh.

Continuing with the rural theme, in this month’s Rural Roundup Dr John Wynn Jones reflects back on the rural conference in Delhi earlier in the year, and highlights the success of the Delhi Declaration.  He contrasts that with the lack of rural mention in the forthcoming Astana Declaration.
