WONCA Europe works with the European Cancer Organisation as a partner in the smartCARE project

Dear Colleagues,

As you may know, WONCA Europe works with the European Cancer Organisation as a partner in the smartCARE project.

One important component of this collaboration involves the process of developing the smartCARE prototype – a platform designed to provide cancer survivors and caregivers with a comprehensive resource bank aimed at supporting them through their journey. This initiative is driven by the commitment to enhance the lives of those affected by cancer, by offering access to relevant and reliable information that can make a positive impact on their well-being.

In this regard, we kindly ask for your assistance. We are seeking materials that you believe could be of value to survivors and caregivers, including but not limited to:

Guidelines, recommendations, and best practices

Informative videos, podcasts, or eBooks

Resources addressing mental well-being

Information on patient rights and legal advice

Self-testing guidance

Nutrition-related information

Resources on sexuality and intimacy

Content regarding post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Information about side effects and complications

Rehabilitation and recovery resources

If you have any materials that would be suitable, we would be truly grateful if you could share them with us and the European Cancer Organisation at jack.latteur@europeancancer.org

These resources will be included as links within the platform, leading users directly to your website or the specified resource. Proper credit will be given to your organization, clearly indicating that the resources have originated from your organization and directing users to learn more about you.

We hope you will consider participating in this effort and look forward to hearing from you.

Warm regards,

Shlomo Vinker

WONCA Europe President
